I was at a fly fishing Jam a few weeks ago and a guy showed me the Davy Knot. Boy I wonder why I did not find this knot years ago. What an easy, quick, and strong knot. What I really like about this knot is the size. Makes it very easy to tie a dropper thru the eye of the lead fly. Not sure I will be using an improved clinch knot anytime soon. Anyone experienced any poblems with it?

Lotta people prefer the Davy knot, but it will still slip and break if you don't use the proper number of turns.(and that all depends on the diameter and suppleness of the mono).
It's far more important to use the knots that you're confident in tying. They're the ones most likely to work for YOU.
I'll stick with plain (unimproved) clinch
