Default Hot!!

Don't know about the rest of you, but it has been almost too hot to fish except for about 3 hours on saturday mornings. My warm fresh water fishing on the pools and small rivers has been nothing to brag about. It has been around 100 degrees at 6:00 in the evenings the past three weeks which killed the evening fishing for me in s.e. oklahoma.. I am looking forward to september and a break in the weather.. How about you all.. Do you just stay home in august??

Ditto on it being to hot to fly fish. I tried yesterday with no luck at all. My glasses fog up and I'm drenched by the end of my first cast. I'm still trying to catch up on drinking water today. The heat makes me so thirsty. Truth is, all my life I've been thirsty. I'm looking forward to October myself.
Later,
Terry

I agree it's been to hot to almost do anything. I'm waiting for January when I can get out on the river in waders, long handled underware, wool socks pants and shirt, and an Eisenhower Jacket to do my trout fishing in. Of course I could always go fishing between hunting seasons or before I have to go to class every morning...

Here in the Rocky Mountains it has been in 100's also. The past few weeks, hi 90's. Hard walking up and down those rivers in this heat, let alone out in a pontoon kicking away.
I am looking forward to Labor Day weekend. Going up to Henry's Lake for the weekend and the evenings up there ought to be in the upper 30's to the lower 40's. Really hard trying to pack when it is so hot here even in the evenings.
