Default Hello

Hi All,

I've been a "lurker" for quite awhile and finally decided to join. I'm kinda new to fly fishing, or at least it's been several years since I did. Last summer, I bought a Sage Launch setup from Cabelas and the bug has really bitten hard! Over Labor Day weekend, I took the plunge and got a really nice set up - Sage SLT 586 2 pc, with a Lamson Velocity 2 reel. With a little luck, I'll be trying it out over in the AZ White Mountains next week and am looking forward to a trip or two to the Juan once I get some time off from work. I'm looking forward to the ride here!

Phil

Well, I finally got to use the new outfit last week over in AZ. I fished the East Fork of the Black River south of Alpine and caught quite a few small Apaches. I'd never caught them before and they're really pretty. Nothing to speak of size wize, but they fought like whales on the SLT. I REALLY love my new outfit. Seems all I need to do is "think" about where I want to cast, and "poof" the fly lands there! Peacock ladies seemed to be the food of choice every time I went.
