Smile JMJP1105RCG code

Yesterday,I went fishing with my buddy JM.My last outings were quite good so I hoped this one would be as good because JM couldn’t go fishing with me as often as usual for a while. We started with one rod on dry and one on nymph, but quickly changed our tactics for two rods on nymph of different colors.I fished with an orange chub special JM with a black one. That was the good choice. We could land rainbows, big chubs and some graylings…which is great!Little graylings were stocked as an experiment in the upper section of the stream around ten years ago ….they have completely disappeared there but it looks like some of them have found a good place to live twenty miles downstream.

Hey JP,

You did better than I on my trip. I caught some trout but lost a King with my hand about one foot from grabbing him I am going out in the early AM so must get to bed. The chub is huge!

JP: Great trip report and photos, those streams you fish are just beautiful!

Ard: Sorry to hear you missed that king, but I guess there will always be another chance!

Excellent! I always enjoy seeing pics of fly fishing in France. It reminds me of Charles Ritz.

JP ! What biggg chub!! and good grayline ! very typical from south stream of France. What's up with dryness ? here in Baque Country for the moment it's ok. Past week a little rain.

Hi JP, you don't a bamboo rod or hat to look funny.

Some nice fish. Is there any Salmon fishing in France?

Frank

I think Ritz looks stylish. He must have had quite a life! In his book, he discusses fishing with the Germans during their occupation of France, and then the Americans. Very interesting stuff, and I have the book in my living room at all times. Actually, it was Ritz's book that sparked my interest in fly fishing about 35 years ago. It was on my grandfather's bookshelf, and I thought Ritz was It almost immediately! I bought another copy of the book last year. My opinion hasn't changed much.....
