Very very nice, I'm jealous. I've been fishin' for bass for a couple of weeks now, and except for one aerobatic 7" smallie all I get are "gills. But that beats a stick in the eye.
Great catch, what were ya usin'?
Rick

thanks! i have yet to catch a smallie on my fly rod.... that's on my to-do list this summer.

i was using a black wooly bugger at first and was just catching a bunch of small 5-7 inch largemouth.... that would have been fun on my 3wt but i only had my 5wt so i switched to an olive matuka sculpin.... the fishing slowed down.... the little guys were still playing tag with my streamer but i moved around and kept casting and it paid off.
