Joan Wulff’s 85th Birthday Celebration to Coincide with
A Super Fly Fishing Event in the Catskills
August 6 & 7, 2011

On Sunday, August 7, at 1:30 PM the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum will recognize the birthdays of Joan Wulff who will be 85 years this year, Agnes Van Put’s 95th, Doc Fried’s 85th and Mary Dette and Mary Fried who will be 80. This is a great day to honor both the First Lady of Fly Casting & Fly Fishing; Joan Wulff and the First Lady of Fly Tying; Mary Dette at the same event. Cake will be served at 1:30 PM on Sunday.

This Jubilee Celebration will wrap up a great weekend at the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum, located in Livingston Manor, NY. On Saturday, the 29th annual and largest Angler’s Market for classic and contemporary collectible fly tackle and accessories in the USA will be held, this year the addition of the first annual Hardy Bros. Cup bamboo rod casting competition will be held on Saturday August 6 and a complimentary roast pig BBQ to follow at 6:00 PM. Also included will be a kids fishing derby, The Great Willowemoc Fish Race, and a wide variety of local crafts and services (satisfying those not interested in fly fishing) will be on hand.
