Hey folks,

Sorry for not replying, 6 days til archery deer season here in Manitoba and I've got a couple tanks that I'm after! So I've been very preoccupied. lol.

First off, thank you very much everyone for the compliments. This piece was a tough one for me. Took me a long time to start to like it. lol. I couldn't seem to picture it and I didn't have confidence in it until I was mostly done. Then it started to unfold. Sometimes it's tough and especially when you don't have much for reference photos. I had some crappy brown trout pictures I was using from my collection and a few water reflection photos I'd taken.

Anyways, judging is next week and I'm not 100% sure when we'll find out. There were 27 entries altogether, so that's good, glad they had a decent turn out. I'm excited whether I win or not. It was fun and is my first competition entry. =)

THanks again guys, hope to be back on the water within a few weeks.

Nick

Good luck on the judging, and even more with the start of stick-slinging season! I can't wait to get back to NY and hang my stands for archery season.
