Default The English Fly Fishing Shop?

Has anyone purchased fly’s from The English Fly Fishing Shop http://www.flyfishing-flies.com/? I am considering making a large purchase from them, and wandering if they are a reputable company.

Hey JeffBurns,
It looks like a great site for flies. I like all the information and detail that he provides about his flies. I would think that anyone that went to the trouble of providing such information would be a crediable guy. I would suggest that you email him and start up a conversation with him as to his material quality, references, shipping cost, etc. I think if he is willing to sell them he would be more than willing to provide this information to a potential customer.

Reactor, I have to agree with you I purchase the bulk of my flies from http://www.blueflycafe.com They are hard to beat as far as price and their customer service when it comes to selling flies.

Let us know what you hear from The English Fly Fishing Shop, I would be curious to know.

Also, Try out this link:

Hope this helps.
Thanks,Terry

Yes, I have made purchases from The English Fly Fishing Shop. So far...so good. Good flies that have worked well on the water. I bought some humpies that caught fish. I bought some adams that caught fish. I can't remember the others, but all the flies I bought from him were durable.
His shipping worldwide is free.
I've never had an issue with my credit card with him.
Also, I just placed another order. The total is ten bucks. And, that's it. No postage.

Another vote for Blue Fly Cafe. The orders are accurate and have always shipped out the same day of the order. The flies are cheap, but look good and don't fall apart. About all you can ask from a shop selling flies.

I try and tie all of my flies, but sometimes I don't have time, and I suck at really small flies. I can barely tie them on the tippet. Let alone tie them.

Hi to all,

Here is a comparison of a fly from three sources. I will let you guys look and make your own decision as to the best tied and the best value. I arbitrarily pick a Yellow Stimulator without seeing the flies first. The prices are without a bulk discount.

Kaufmann's Yellow Stimulator $1.70

Kaufmann's Yellow Stimulator for me, although just a tad more wing would complete the fly, in my opinion the others are over dressed.
Can't wait for other peoples opinions!
Cheers
