Default The Lost World Of Hardy

Saw this film while surfing and thought everyone might enjoy it.

Just watched this film this past week. Very interesting, glad I saw it. Rented it on my Kindle though might be worth owning. Interesting history, footage, and craftsmanship. It reminds me that making my own rods from a graphite blank doesn't hold a candle to those who build bamboo.

Beautiful, poignant stuff right there. I love the old ways. Must be a sign that I am getting old.

As a machinist myself, I grew up seeing how things were done in a shop, and the skills needed to do them. I grew up with a feeling of pride that my dad was a machinist, and made the things he wanted - not purchased them, as if he had teh money to do that even!. If there was anything he needed, he invented it, then he made it with his own two hands.

Great video, reminds me of how well things used to be made by the true craftsmen.
