The first thing you have to realize is that there is no muscle involved. Its all timing. Whether you use a fast or slow cast you have to time your back cast and forward cast so that it's a fluid motion. Watch this video of my daughter casting. She was 6 at the time. She obviously doesn't have tremendous upper body strength but her timing is right and she gets a cast off with little effort.

You have to feel the line straighten out behind you and the rod bend under the load of the line. At that moment you start your forward cast. Use the FORCE Vapor, it's in you!

Don't give up yet. I live 4 or 5 hous away. I may be able to head down that way and I'm PMing you my phone number. Call me. I have a Navy buddy in the cities I have to see soon anyway which would drastically reduce the distance between us. We can fix this.
