I use to have a pair of old Red Ball cordura wading boots that were so patched up that they had as much nylon and plyobond patching as they did original material.
Those boots were comfortable like old sneakers and I was sorry to see them go

I duck hunt in my Cabela's GII's in ponds that catch Ag run off. Fine sticky silt. A few years ago, the muck actually ripped the sole off one of my Remington wader shoes. Now I wear a pair of cut-down Redball packboots.
