A Sushi tool kit and an enrollment in Sushi classes between the salmon I catch and the New Sagaya Market's seafood counter when I get to Anchorage we can get all sort of fish and we love Sushi. Class starts Jan 17, I can't wait

AND....... As soon as the new Simms Guide Boot is available there will be a pair of them so it was a real good Christmas here.

Korkers Redside boots

Some Fleece wading britches

The Fly Tier's Benchside Reference.

All of the stuff that I had previously picked-up between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but told family that they could reimburse me for, as a Christmas present:

A 9', 5-weight four-piece Orvis Clearwater II, with matching reel, a new fishing vest, lanyard, Tom Rosenbauer's "Fly Fishing Guide", and a casting DVD.

My son got me a gift certificate to the local fly-shop so that I could get the tools for my upcoming fly-tying class, and I went their today and overspent the certificate! (surprise, surprise!) But I got everything that I need that's on the "tool list" for the beginers class, plus a few items that my reading told me that i also needed.

Finally, I also got a neat desk-top fishing rod with a spool of line, a "hook", and clippers for practicing knots. Spent a good part of the aftrenoon practicing knots. Got the nail knot, the perfection loop, and the "Orvis" knot down solid, now...

All-in-all, with the exception of a new razor, a couple of shirts, and a few otther trinkets, it was truly a fly-fishing Christmas!
