Default Redhorse Skunk Blown- Report

Y'all may laugh at this, I don't care.

I've been trying to catch one of these things for quite a while, and finally managed to

The rest is kinda elegant, but the first 10% sure is ugly

Some mushy pelletheads were landed too

Nothing too exotic, but a good last day before going back to work.

Oh man you would love the Erie tribs in spring! They flipping carpet the bottom! Sometimes on a crowded day in spring you can walk down the river and hear random g** damns and SOBs echo all around. You might catch 3 steelhead to 8 redhorse.

Oh man! I'd rather catch a million pellet heads than those suckers! They really ruin a two or 3 fly rig with all their twisting and slime...

I rarely catch them on the Arkansas, but for some reason we must have found a honey hole of them! We ended up pulling 5 suckers out of the same run. Is it spawning season for them already?

I do have to admit...yours is much "prettier" than mine.

Doubt it, I just caught this one because I was trying to pull trout out of the same cut in the bedrock.

We've got loads of them, but they sure don't feed like bass. Bouncing a nymph works much better.

That's a good one Cliff! I like the ugly fish, and I finally caught a small one this summer. Pretty good fight too.

Cliff: Congrats! Kind of reminds me of the suckers we were landing on the Missouri last spring during high water.

Fish are fish Cliff and that is a really good one to break the streak with. What did it take?
