Default Do inverted hooks snag less weeds?

So i was fishing today and the weeds/grass/vegetation has been really high. I kept on getting my nymphs snagged because i try to work them close to the bottom. I was wondering if having the hook on the top would make a difference in terms of snagging vegetation. my thinking is that the fly will for the most part, push the vegetation out of the way, though it might not a difference at all.

Yes, it makes all the difference in slow water. Not so sure about fast riffles in rocky streams.

Cheers,
