i have a whole bunch of extra craft fur and i love the material but i dont know any minnow patterns for the stuff can anyone recommend a couple?

Tim Borski's flies use a lot of craft fur
Here's a step-by-step for his fur shrimp from peregrines
Fur Shrimp SBS

I tie and use a lot of high-ties. they're an old and simple pattern. the forerunner of what many people might call EP flies

Deadhead Minnows.

Craft fur and flash tail. Dubbing brush head. Brush Back, Hit with softex or t-shirt paint, insert eyes. Done.

Seems like a good all around shrimp pattern.

I'm new to fly tying and had just tied up some Clouser minnows with 1/2 craft fur and 1/2 buck tail - looks like I'm going to have trouble with them... I will definitely keep this info in mind when I'm tying future flies with craft fur.
