Default white bass fly

What would you guys suggest for white bass? I have some success with clauser fly, mostly white plus grey color. But if you guys have any other pattern that works, please let me know.

Select craft fur deceiver patterns. 3 to 4 inches. White w/ a splash of red. Chartreuse and chartreuse w/ white. Green highlighter colored head over thread. Black back bunny flies w/ silver body. Same size

I think you have the ultimate fly already. The jigging motion of the clouser is unmatched. I always outfish gear fisherman when chasing whitebass with the clouser. The occasional smallmouth and walleyes are a bonus too.

Try some blue and white as well, either the darker blue or smurfy tint. Pearl or silver holo flash.

Size 8 smurf clousers produce ALOT of fish for me.

I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.

Go to the warmwater section and look at the "Show your flies" thread. I use the Cypert Minnow and smoke 'em. Even when up against the hardware tossers.

Take a look at Whitlock's swimming sheep pattern from Umpqua. It has a clouser theme to it with a shad profile.

I haven't really targeted white bass but catch quite a few as bycatch for bass.
It's almost always on a clouser.

Always a pleasant surprise. This one was on a green/white clouser with a black bunny strip.
