Default Raise Your Hand if Your State Banned Felt Boots

I just saw another thread devoted to banned felt wading boots, and this has to be at least the 5th thread devoted to the topic. For everyones information could we get a list compiled of those states that have already banned felt, and possibly those that have difinitive plans. I'd like to have a solid list so please only list on here about a state that you are sure about. I personally will be getting to at least 4 different states this season and I havn't "upgraded" to the EPA endorsed boots so I could use the information myself.

Here's the list of states that have bans as reported below by our members:

1. Maryland
2. Missouri
3. Alaska
4. Vermont
5. Rhode Island

MO banned them in the trout parks and selected trout areas as of March 1 this year.

I've been told by a state fisheries biologist that CT is unlikely to ever have a felt ban. We already have didymo here and from what they've observed, the threat of it becoming a big problem is very unlikely

Like everyone else I don't know whether Banning Felt Soles will solve the problem, the main thing is for people when moving between Fishing Locations is to clean their gear as I know a couple of years ago a Horse Virus which Killed many Horses, also a couple of Trainers died from it,was brought into Australia & spread by workers, then when it was discovered it was already in some of The States however it was too late & there was a widespread epidemic.
Also I have noticed Felt Soles are Banned in heaps of places & innevitably in time, everywhere will have The same Rules as once it starts I suppose it's like a Bushfire it has to be controlled.
Felt Soled Boots also will be Phased out as The Sales decline & if they are required They will be special orders, that's if they are available/Legal & cost more.
Brian.

I second the Oregon statement. It's been tossed around here. I heard rumors of it being next year, but likely within the next two.

I fish in Oregon occasionally...will they arrest me for wearing studded felt soles, anyone NOT wearing them in the Deschutes is nuts! Like Ard's poor dead horse, beating up on felt is dumb. Don't want to spread exotic ich? Ban boats and trailers, Woven landing nets, boot laces and exterminate pelicans, osprey and herons!
