Gator,

Those fish in your video look more like jewfish than cod. Round tail, dorsal spikes, spots etc. There sure are lots of them in that canal, but they don't seem very frantic after they're hooked.

I know what you mean Jim, they definitely didn't look like cod to me, so I looked them up. Turns out they are in the perch family. Either way, they look like voracious eaters, but I don't know if I'd be kicking my legs around in ANY water in Australia... I wonder if LiphookedAu has fished for those fish though?
