Just watched his show last night. He's one of the guys that never wasted my time. Always a guy that seem to have a passion for the art.

Stunning and sad news, one of the best hosts on TV. RIP Jose.

I've watched Jose's shows for years, and I always enjoyed them. His show, Spanish Fly, and Flip Pallot's Walker’s Cay Chronicles were the two shows that got me interested in fly fishing. Jose was accessible to all through his TV shows and life’s work. He always took time to return emails and questions through his website. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.

I just found out today when I started watching his show!

There are so many bad people that should have died in his place.

I learned a lot from him over the years and loved the tackle tips!

Saltwater lures works great in freshwater! They are simple, just change your presentation to the conditions at hand. Jose taught me how to be a better jig fisherman. I also learned that jig flies work great too, once they get air-born.
