Default Trout Skeleton Drawings

Tried something new and came up with a couple grungy trout skeletons. I've been so busy fishing I haven't had much time to put pencil to paper but yesterday it was like I never stopped! Just flowed so nicely! Awesome when you don't have to force art outta ya. lol.

I’ve seen a lot of pictures of fish skeletons and one that has always been missing is a trout skeleton. I’m not talking a scientific drawing or photograph, I’m talking a gnarly design, one that people would wear on a shirt or slap a decal on their vehicle with. Trout fishermen are used to people making fun of them and used to all the stereo-types. In reality, trout fishermen are some of the most hardcore anglers on the planet. They’re out, rain or shine, snow and ice, sun up til sun down. It’s about time we offered them something they can be proud to show the world.

Meet "Fang" - The Dead Brown Trout
He’s been around a long time and had his share of terrorizing other trout in his stream back when he was still amongst the living. Now Fang is more frightening than ever before, and enjoys haunting little trout’s dreams.

Meet "Specktre" - The Dead Brook Trout
Specktre is one gnarly dude. Growing up in the remote reaches of Northern Canada, he survived it all. Eagles, Pike, Lake Trout, and Bears were no challenge for Specktre. Now he is the thing of nightmares.

I'll be doing more designs like this as the response from Facebook was insane! Totally overwhelming actually. I've teamed up with FISHBUM and we'll be doing shirts and decals etc. For now, I thought I'd share my latest art. =)

Nick: Excellent work as always! I'm in if you decide to do a T-shirt with either of those drawings!

Hi Nick,

You know I always enjoy seeing your stuff and I have to say that you are getting better. You don't seem to fit what I often see in art; the early works are great and then as the artist goes on the works become stagnate when compared to the early stuff.

You are still shooting up like a rocket, no doubt being inspired and propelled by your love for the images you create.

Wonderful work,

Ard
