I too use Frogs Hair Flouro along with Mirage. I would love varient cause to me it is the ultimate, but was very hard to find for awhile there and is still touch and go.
I never go smaller than 6X (flouro) even with #30's and #32's (yest it is possible).
Been much happier. I just use regular Flour Fishing line (P-Line is my choice) for still water fishing.

I know of a guy who used to make sz42 hooks for midging...talk about extreme fishing..
