Default So, uh, patagonia?

My wifey and I were married 12/7/74...yeah, Pearl Harbor Day. So she had a couple of glasses of Pinot Grigio down her gullet tonight when she said:

"Sure, I'd love to go to Patagonia for our 40th anniversary."

Hey...Honest to God, she said it. I have witnesses.

Holy Carp!

Before she has any inkling to change her mind, feed her this BS.

Step one... Stare at her face. Make sure that she catches you doing that. It is very important that you catch her by surprise.
Step two... When she says, "what," feed her the BS (if you are honest, more power to you):
There was that day (or night) at (you fill in the blank). It a was very memorable moment. I was so at peace. That gleam in your eyes reminded me of it.
Step three... Prepare for that big sigh moment from her.

I just thought that I would help a fellow fly fishing bro get some more brownie points to go to Patagonia.

An off the cuff remark turns into the trip of a lifetime! That will be awesome. Will she put up with you for another 18 months?: milt.

well, I didn't mention it this morning...but I did butter her toast.

Dave...here we come is right. Luckily, my younger daughter spent a month down there after college and greased the skids for me. I knew that college expense would pay off.

Denny...evidence based on her staying with me 37 yrs to the contrary....she's too smart for that.

Milt...I think if I stay gone fishing as much as possible, there's a chance.

Cliff....Siberia is actually #1 on my bucket list, but....there's no way. Get real.

This should be interesting. There will be some cost to this (and I aint talking dollars) but I'm sure it will be manageable.

Patagonia, Beautiful... It was on my bucket list too. The wife let me go last Feb. We went to the Yelcho Lodge in Chile. what a blast. Have fun . ( I just hope you don't have to take her to France for payback)
