Hi FISHN50,

I have not been to the Fly Fishing Show but have been to the Portland Boat show many times. These types of shows are terrific. They are worth your effort and money to attend. The Fly Fishing show will have classes on various fly fishing techniques and they are very informative. There will also be demonstrations. At the Portland show Lefty was demonstrating fly casting every two hours. I got there when they opened and left just before they closed. I got to see him several times. I learned a lot just watching Lefty that day.

I encourage anyone in the area to go. Here is a list of the experts they use. You have to check the show you are interested in to see who will be at your show. I am sad to report that Lefty will not be at any of these shows due to a family illness.
