Default Trout Bum Diaries

Has anyone seen or does anyone own the trout bum diaries. I was looking to buy a non-instructional dvd about trout fly-fishing and i came across them. I was just looking for some feedback on the videos. Are they worth the money?

Thumbs up Re: Trout Bum Diaries

Hey Rover:

A friend Of mine owns a few non instructional videos. I enjoyed watching The trout Bum Diaries Vol.1 Especially during the cold winter months that I get up here. It is nice to put the DVD in and watch some of those nice trout smashing mouse patterns......

The trout bum diaries are awsome. I have the first two and I hear they have a third one coming out; I think it is about fishing in Mongolia. Another good one is The Hatch from some guys at feltsoul media.

check out the fishing with ra movies. i find them to be more entertaining than 2 straight hours of fish porn like to trout bum movies(which are still awsome). you can look at trailers and everything at Fishwithra.com: fly fishing the world.
enjoy

TBD 1 and 2 are almost entirely different. I have both..enjoy both and will buy the 3rd installment as well.

TBD1 is a bit like a music video for much of the movie
TBD2 there is a little more character interaction/story to it.

I liked both but really liked 2 more.

Yeah, they are a lot different, but both well worth the price of admission. There's a ton of cool fly fishing films coming out right now, and it doesn't look like there's any end in sight. Here's a few off the top of my head. Jamie Howard put out two seasons of his Chasing Silver show on DVD, and its pretty impressive. I think someone mentioned the Hatch from Felt Soul Media- they've got a great one about rooster fish called Running Down the Man, and their new project Red Gold highlights the goings on in Bristol Bay and should be a really neat film. I put a few links up on our shop website to some of these up and coming production companies- its kinda cool to keep an eye on what's new.
