Default Hello from the new guy.

I just wanted to say hello. I have been reading this site for a long time. Thought I would finally join. I have been flyfishing for a little over 20 years now, and it is definately my favorite thing to do. My son and I went on an Alaskan fly in trip last month. It was awesome, and something I have been wanting to do for years. I will get my profile going over the next few days. I am terrible with computer stuff. I look forward to contributing on here.

Hey Ard,

I went to Alaska Rainbow Lodge in the Bristol Bay Area. My son and I had a great time. We caught King, Chum, Sockeye Salmon. Some nice rainbows, grayling and even a few big lake trout. And don't forget, a ton of Arctic Char. I caught all on the fly, except for the Kings.

You are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful and wild place. I hope when I come back in a couple years, to try the southeast area.

Thanks everyone for the welcome.

very cool, tony.
believe it or not, i used to work at the alaska rainbow lodge. I was the sous chef/baker, but believe me i got my fair share of fishing in.
Just curious, how was your trip? I know most of the guides up there and wondered if they treated you guys right

Casey,

The staff at Alaska Rainbow Lodge was amazing. The food, rooms and everything was amazing. We had two different guides in the five days. A guide named Dragon and another one named Nigel. Both guys were the best fishermen I have ever met. Both guys guide all over the country and the world during different times of the year. Good for us, bad for the lodge, there were only seven guests (including us) for the week we were there. I guess the economy has something to do with it.
