If I'm right, Dave is working in some out of the way place in Texas. This is not real fertile ground for use or even sale of a classic Hardy Salmon reel. The picture below is of a MK. II like Dave had bought. This is what would be listed for sale on Craig's List or else where but without papers and I presume a reel case?

There are other pictures I have but this one was handy.

I will search ebay for it. Just add it to my saved searches. If you can tell I hate thieves.

That really sucks...reading the posts got me thinking...what if someone took it to have it refurbed or used in a special surprise gift? Anything important coming up? Just a thought.

Hope it turns up soon either way.

I dug up 2 more from the Reel Love thread. The lighting makes the face look blue but they are satin black with polished rims and an S handle.

Refurbishing would not be an issue because these reels were built around 2003 - 2004. They were a retro reel in honor of the Cascapedia made back in the 30's I believe. The MK. II has the perforated spool face and that's what Dave had. The size is 8/9 just like the one pictured. If you look on line for one the seller will be from Texas and the reel will be a MK. II size 8/9.

Thanks guys, the help is appreciated. It will have the cloth case but not the box. Our offices are private but there are many people every day coming in for meetings. I work 2 weeks on 1 week off and it was gone when I returned.

Stupid on my part and not a good witness for the Lord as I foolishly tempted someone with a display of wealth. Wasn't my intention but we don't always think things thru...

Dave

Dave: Sorry to hear about your loss! I for one will keep an eye out on Craigs list and Ebay, maybe it will turn up.

Creepy is the word that comes to mind for me. My wife worked in a large office 20 years ago, and the cleaning service spent most of the night there. They took everything that wasn't nailed down, including coffee cups. She now works for a much smaller company, and the cleaning staff are not anonymous. Call your homeowner's insurance company, and be glad you didn't have two reels on display. Bummer......

Trail Cam!

When I park my rig in far away places I always set up my trail cam. Maybe an office trail cam is in order.

I hate thieves!
