Nice to see a Loop on this board! I have a 388-4 Opti Creek that is an excellent spring creek rod.

Cheers,
Mike.

As I've mentioned to you many times, that's one hell of a collection of fly rods. I'm in awe of it

You need to do a couple of updates though, your 386 is a 4 piece and the 589 SP is currently was 6 piece and back to a 5 piece!

And by all means, do something with those 6's and 7's will ya!

I'd rather spend the day on the water, than counting fly rods. I'm not going to count flies, either !
But seriously....I believe the answer is : never enough.

I am but a piker compared to most here. I have 4 right now,

4wt Scott F2
7wt Scott Heliply
8wt Scott S4s
10wt Scott S4s

I pretty much have everything covered for what I like to fish for but I would like to add a 9' 5wt in there one of these days. Need to get some other stuff first like a new reel for the HP.

I use a gold anodized Islander on my 8'8"/#8 Heliply (an Abel would be fine too)...this great old rod calls out for a classic draw-bar reel. And a #5 for your collection is obvious; Scott's new Radian.

I can't really participate in this thread, my math isn't good enough. But despite that, I too always want one more. I am becoming fascinated by one piece rods for both my local trout and saltwater fishing.

4 - 5wts. I never got rid of any as I upgraded and one is an old fiberglass one that my grandpa used to fish with. I have an 8 and a 10 coming in the near future. In ten years I see myself having a whole room full.

Well I think that I'm up to well over 30 at this point but I don't even want to count

A more embarrassing question would be "how many fly rods do you have that you've never used ?"
