Fascinating thread. It would be interesting to catalog how many of the rods people listed were made offshore. Looks like more than half. Times sure have changed.

As for my collection, over time I have pared down to the five I really use.

Two 6-weights
One 5-weight
Two 4-weights

Though I have some rods made in New Zealand (Nti "Nanos"), South Korea (Albright EXS, Rajeff ECHO3 and Hardy SINTRIX models) that are excellent, the majority of my rods emanate from America; Sage, G.Loomis, Scott and more. How many? Ask my wife, she is better at math than I am. All I know is the current group in use goes from 4-weight to 13-weight with the exception of #11. Just in #4's alone there is a Phillipson, Orvis, T&T, Winston, 2 Nanos, Albright, Diamondback, Scott, Hardy and, my two current favorites, a little 8 1/2'/#4 G.Loomis Streamdance GLX and a big 9'/#4 NRX. At Somerset this winter I plan on casting the new Orvis H2 and Scott Radian #4's but I believe the NRX can feel secure that its cork will continue to get dirtier.

I currently have 2, a 30 year old department store special 8' 6 wt carbon and the 8' 4wt I just finished building.

I have this terrible sinking feeling I will be building rods like eating potato chips, it was a blast. And now I have the wrapping stand that looks so sad and lonely with out a blank on it.

I just don't know what to build next, I only fish smaller rivers and streams and I'm too much of a newbie to know what I should have.

In the last year, added a Scott A4 590-4, and just ordered my first switch rod.
Reddington Dually 5110-4, looking forward to learning switch techniques this year.
That makes 10 total, of which 3-4 get regular use.

... thanks!

ps - the NRX 490 (or however GLoomis numbers it) is a fabulous rod.
In taste tests, helping students and friends spend their money, the 490 has proven to
be the winner.

I have not yet cast the 'Lite Presentation' model - it's on my Somerset to-do-list.
