Default Catskills

With a day off tomorrow I would like to go into the Catskills.
I'm new to the area. I live about 40 minutes from the Ashokan.
I'm thinking of the Beaver Kill or Neversink? Any suggestions?

I know I'm too late, but figured I'd answer anyway. Pretty much every major Catskill river and many smaller streams/creeks and their tributaries are great places to fish. There's a reason the Catskills one of the top fly fishing destinations in the US! You have the Beaverkill and Willowemoc, Neversink and the Delaware (main stem and both branches) to name a few. I've done most of my fishing on the West Branch and Willow, but recently took a trip to the Neversink that was a lot of fun.
We had a ton of rain last week and it really helped temperatures and levels in all the local waters. Hope you had fun. Where did you end up going?

I was up there fishing for the first time 2 weekends ago - fished the Beaverkill and the Willowemoc along Rt17 and Roscoe - water was low but we managed to hook into fish in the fast water and riffles - we didn't get many, but we got into all 3 species of trout, wild fish in the 12-14" range -
