Default Make your Picks

ok so you get dropped off in the middle of no where with everything you need for surviving 30 days alone EXCEPT food. your food is whatever trout/salmon you catch on the areas streams and rivers. You get your rod and a box of flies. HOWEVER you can only have 6 different kinds of flies in your box. What are your 6 flies?

John: Great choices, the only thing I would change out would be an ant or beetle pattern...........this past month I have been slaying the trout on the Green with those two patterns behind a parachute adams.

Part of me wants to ask my general location, if it's anything like Cheesman where I fished today, I'd change my selection. Otherwise, I'd alter fyshstyker's a bit

Place: Karluk River
Flies: AK. Assasin - Jock O' Dee - Black Bunny Leech with stinger hooks - Ard's Nine Three - Skykomish Sunrise - Max Canyon. All are salmon & steelhead patterns that catch fish.

Funny, I am trying to figure out how to do exactly what you are describing

Being my 'river' will be Steelhead/Salmon (amazing how few trout there are in the upper Rogue):

Flamethrower on a Silver Salar #6 double hook;
Cascade on the same hook;
Bead head Prince Nymph - #10 hook
Wolly Bugger - #6 hook;
Copper John's (red and green wire) - #8 hook (that counts for two)
