Had a small mix up. Gavin went way over the top to make things right.
Highly recommend them.

As a result of a post I made concerning a product that was not theirs and they do not sell; they contacted me and offered me a similar product for free. I did not accept because I didn't need and was not looking for someone to make up for anothers minor fault. However, that does tell me what kind of people operate Allen's. True sportsmen that you would like to meet on the water and to do business with.

It's threads like these that point up why Hardy/Greys are "in the tank" and (comparatively speaking) Newbie's are going strong. Good product, at a fair price, and customer service ..... all the thing's Hardy no longer offers.

I would tend to accept that kind of generous gift.

That is a company that intends to build a good reputation and stick by it.

Those are the kind of people that the public wants to do business with.
It shows an absence of a petty, scheming attitude, and a willingness to make customers happy. From what I read here, I know
I am going to buy their Kraken Reel, because it is somewhere in the $150 to $250 price range that I consider reasonable.

I've followed these folks from almost 'Day One' and was/has been interesting to pencil out what their Business Plan may have been. Good ideas, and who every drew same up is a damned good business man.

The Bullet Points (mine) are a good (personal) read. No credit to me, just to them.


From 'nowhere' to a very much 'somewhere' in a very crowed business.

A 5 Star customer service rating can go a long way. I know they came thru with a small hook order for me all because of a glitch - out of their control - on their webpage.
