Default The Fishing Priest

If you do not fully believe this story,,,blame Father Paul,,he told us this one in Mass this weekend
------------------
A certain Priest was also a skilled fly fisherman and well known for catching some really huge fish.

One day he was on one of his frequent fly fishing trips on the local river,,when a village boy came running up and explained that a woman at a neighboring farm was in labor. Since the woman was devote and loved by all in his parish, he left stream side immediately to go to the home as spiritual assistance during her birth.

She gave birth to a beautiful baby daughter,,but..alas,,, the farmer had nothing with which to weigh the baby girl ....so... the Priest suggest using his personal fishing scales.

The baby weighed in at 24 lbs 10 oz.

This is how new world records are set,,,,daily !

When my boy was born he was huge. 10 lbs. 6 oz. and my poor stinker of an ex wife was not a big women. I felt sorry for her and so did everyone of the hospital staff. But there was a baby born at the same time that dwarfed him. A fat little guy that looked like the Michelen tire guy with a thick head of black hair. I used to rememeber exactly what that kid weighed but don't anymore. He was huge. It was something in the 13 or 14 pound zone. Like I said he dwarfed my kid and he was big.

A good friend of ours gave birth to a 12 pounder. She said the Doctor claimed
her son was a "prime example of a premature toddler!"

As a priest and a flyfisherman myself, I appreciated this one.

Wonder if he caught anything....
