no, wt, we went fishless. But I don't think any of us fished for more than about 15 minutes. We were having too much fun on the tailgate of my truck! I am absolutely diggin' the two hander...it's a ball to fish with, and effortless. The first day its in the 30's and low wind I'm going back to where we were. There's a big pool with no backcast room that was just made for a two hander. Can't wait to swing a Deep Green Beauty through it!

We spent too much time yakking around the tailgate (and the bottle of cognac) to do any good fish-wise. But I'm going back in a few days and will report in.

That's Mike Valla, author of "Tying Catskill-Style Dry Flies" published by Stackpole. Awesome book. He has two others, one on streamers, due to be published this year. The guy on the far left is sporting artist and good friend Adriano Manocchia (Fine Art Oil Paintings | Fine Art Artist | Adriano Manocchia).
