2013 Goals...

My job keeps me tied down most of the time. But I live two minutes from the river, so I still get to fish quite a bit. My goal this year is to get my wife to fly fish with me, And to take some family trips else where and fish.

Since I am typically a workaholic my average work week last year was 72 hours my list is pretty simple

Work less
Fish more
Race more
and if time is available meet more women haha

my one and only goal is to buy some property in western N.C. and spend more time there fishing and living

I want to get my wife out more often, at least twice a month.
I also want to get better at casting bigger rods (7 weights and larger) and bigger flies.

To spend more time with my best friend (Dad) who taught me how to fly fish.. Hopefully me and pops will be able to do more fishing this year together. I have fun even when the fishing is slow...

1. Catch a brookie, brown or rainbow on a dry fly on my 3wt. I've been throwing streamers all year.

2. Catch any of the above on a dry fly I tie.

3. Catch any of the above with my new tenkara rod.

4. Research and decide which bamboo rod to buy.

5. Finish reading all the books I started reading in 2012.

6. Finally getting a lifetime membership to TU.

I've put off answering this thread now for too long. My first goal is to spend more time on the water than last year. The next goal is to catch some Lake Michigan carp in June. Itchmeister, a few other friends, and myself are heading there to likely be taught a few lessons in humility. My last goal is to spend more time trying to catch musky and large pike in the Minnesota and Wisconsin northwoods.


Edit - And to catch a darn Tiger Trout!!!

I have just a few goals for this year:

-Catch a carp over 40"
-Steelhead trip
-Carping trip to Door county
-Catch a Pike on the Dupage
-Catch a Musky

Hopefully I will be able to get these goals completed and be able to share a few stories with all of you too.

Since Im leaving for Afghanistan real soon my only goal is to get home safe and take my dad out fishing, if I can do anything else thats a bonus. I'm a simple man
