Hey, thanks for letting me borrow your 4 piece -- it was easy to pack.

I promise to get it back to you in at least that many pieces.

-Hey man, I hate to ask you, but could I borrow some flies? And maybe some floatant?

-You always snap your cast like that? You know that Hank Patterson is purely comedy, and not a role model, right?

-I've seen NFL tackles that were more graceful than that presentation. Butterfly with sore feet? Try rhinoceros jumping off the high dive.

-(After he shows you his hand tied imitation) Man, that is one ugly fly. You should probably go get your money back, fish won't eat that.

-So I was talking to your wife the other day, and I convinced her that she needs to try fly fishing!

-Bro, I'm really sorry that I messed up after trying to net that fish seven times, but I was just so excited that you were about to catch a bigger fish than I have ever caught, that the adrenaline got the better of me.

While wet wading, just as your buddy has completed a beauty of a cast-

Never laugh hysterically and say...stand up man. The water is only a foot deep there. OR...you will here for the remainder of the season. Yeah.. .he's my bud. Laughed his ass off and never quit casting when I was drowning.

Wink Re: Things Never to Say to Your Fishing Partner

I have actualy said a few of these, in my youth.

Is that you or the chum bucket?
Could you move a few more feet down wind
The flys seem to like you today, yuk,yuk
How long have you been fly fishing?
Nice cast, now get my fly back
Wading is not a race to the center of the hole
You spook more fish than dynamite
Ya I agreee spin fishing is your cup of tea
I thought a guide is to guide me to catch fish not the other way around.
Ya! ya! ya !ya you! actualy caught one!!!!!!!!!
