If its not a live grouse or woodcock, he could care less. Sometimes sniffs new stuff, then goes back to sleep.

What a sweet dog,

Man I hope that is your office. If I littered our living room couch with rods, reels and all the gear I'd be singing soprano the rest of my life.

Yup, its where Tucker and I hang out. LOL, the other day I told her that I was thinking of building another closet. She said, "You don't need another closet, you need a warehouse." She's not wrong. LOL

Gary

P.S. Tucker is definately one sweet dog.

IMO, if you give the dog a real hide, and promote the chewing, they may not know the difference with any other similar material, so that could create problems with your other tying materials should the dog get the opportunity.

I also wouldn't give a tanned hide to my dog because of the chemicals used in tanning. May not ever be a problem, but I wouldn't want to take the chance.
My lab eats nuts and bolts in the garage when i lay them down....pukes them up with rocks and such..likes to eat deer and rabbit pellets.....been working on that problem...He does like fake fur..(teddy bear)..He has all dog toys and one good one is a all natural rubber horse shoe..

Add a starling skin to my list! I was out in the yard for 1/2 an hour tonight came in and was left with a few primaries! He, Kota, punishes me for leaving him out of whatever it is I do!

I have two very spoiled Lab's in my house. Both weigh over 100lbs, and are brother and sister from the same litter (yes, their fixed). They love anything remotely associated with a dead animal. Bruno is the yellow and he is Daddy's boy:

Pearl is the female, and she gravitates to my daughter:

I had a pair of cats, brother and sister, who liked to get into the tying stuff. In those days, the kit was still mobile and packed up after each session. I had to add a wide piece of cardboard to the end of the high shelf where I stored the kit cause they'd climb up to get into it.
I wish the new (old) dog was more interested in feathers. I could keep her out of the kit no sweat and maybe she'd earn her keep and find me a bird.

What, this sweet thing, she would never chew on anything (ha, ha). I have this 18 month old and another 8 year old lab, and they work as a team on stealing things. Lucky for me (and them) they have figured out what is mine and leave it alone, and what is my spouses. They also like to pick on my spouse's husky who is four now.
