Default Mobile apps/sites for river reports

Does anyone use or have suggestions on a good site or free app that will show quick and easy (daily) reports of local water levels etc...?

Thanks in advance.

+1 for the Orvis app. There is a cost but I think you get a discount/certificate that more than covers the cost.

USGS Current Water Data for the Nation

Top right of the screen to select a state. Once you've done that, hover over your river and look at the data.

Edit - To piggy back on what the USGS site has, check with your local Fish and Game departments to see if they have a separate water monitoring website that you can use. Minnesota has one that shows us both the USGS stations as well as the state monitoring stations that don't show up on the USGS site.

+1 for the USGS website. You can set up alerts and have them emailed to you to let you know when a river is within a certain threshold.

If you have an iPhone, you can get River Reader, it's basically an app that uses the USGS data referenced on the website.

Here is the direct link to PA.

Is that only for streams? I was looking for something that includes the susquehanna river.

It will tell you the water level on any stream where there is a USGS Station to monitor the flow. There are streams and rivers on there and is dependent on where the USGS opts to put their stations.

The Susquehanna is on there. Go to the PA link I posted and put your mouse over some of those dots on the map and you will see which stations are the Susquehanna. By the looks of that map at the moment, it's rolling pretty good.

River Reader basically is an app for an iPhone that puts the same USGS data at your fingertips on your smart phone. I think there is an Android app that is similar though the name escapes me at the moment. A quick scan of River Reader showed 10 different stations on the Susquehanna.

Thanks. I was originally looking at it from my phone and couldn't navigate it. I'll check this out from the laptop.
