Default My Sons First Brown....

All my son talked about while driving to Montana & Yellowstone Park was him catching his first Brown Trout. We stayed right on the Madison below Quake Lake. We walked down to the rivers edge and We meet a couple guys throwing streamers into a hole next to our rental cabin. We watched and waited patiently while they dragged large weighted streamers through the hole. After landing no fish, they began to pack up and leave. While passing us bye and noticing my sons fly-rod & Large Cadis Dry Fly, they commented to us (with a little arrogance) that no fish were rising and we would have a heck of time using a dry fly.... Second Cast that my son makes.... Bamn, his first brown. Best part, the guys were still close enough to witness the catch. I am Not normally the guy that likes to use catching fish as a thorn towards others, but these guys needed a little jab. Needless to say, that first fish made his entire trip.

Very cool Mike, I believe you're right about the fellows who felt the need to advise your son of his impending failure needing a slice of humble pie.

Good looking lad there too,

Ard

Mike: I hope you guys did a little hooting and hollering to make sure those jerks knew your son hooked into a fish! Kudos to your son and his first Brown Trout!

I have finally found the culprit who stole my Frequent Poster award. I'll be having that back soon. This silver cog just isn't doing it for me.
