Default Back from Austria....Part 2

We spent five days at the Hotel Platzer,it’s getting more and more popular so there were many fishermen furthermore one of the mountain streams was seriously damaged by a flood and a big landslide. The onwner Frantz decided to close the fishing on it for this season.Fortunately many fishermen fish the lakes and very few are able to fish fast and pocket waters well.We met a funny Belgium guy,Sven, who was alone ;so we invited him to join us for breakfast and dinner and….for fishing. We had a good time on the main stream the Gerlosbach but caught less big fish than usual.Sven drove us to the upper section of the Wimmerbach,it’s a wild place unfortunately the fish were not very active,we were more lucky on a lower section. We did two outings on the Krummbach which were amazing …I daren’t say how many fish we caught…ask Sven if you want to know.Nico and Sven used black HiVi dries so did I, except one afternoon when I fished on nymph on sight for a change.

Very nice. Also just checked out Part 1. Wish my dad would take me fishing in Europe!! (Although we are going to Alaska in Sept)

Couple questions:

Is it mostly private water?

Is it all rainbows?

Very nice, J-P. No wonder it's an annual pilgrimage spot for you and Nico!
