Default Amazing video of a 41.7", 35 lb brown trout

Caught without a reel! The angler uses a cane rod and the line is gathered on a wooden frame.

Awesome video. I loved seeing him running downriver at the beginning of the video.
Catch of a lifetime.

WOW. I am in awe. That gentleman gets my vote for Trout Chaser of The Year. The dedication ! You have to admire his stamina, finesse, and fortitude.
Sometimes we can only have an adventure like that vicariously. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing that with us !

What an incredible fish! I was tired just watching the battle! Didn't quite understand what exactly was the point of the running and swimming but I guess if your fishing with a stick and loose line you have to do some strange things to land a monster like that! Great video although exhausting ! Fish of a lifetime!

It certainly is a beautiful fish. It's too bad it got tossed on the bank the way it did, and it should have been bonked if he was planning on keeping it for a trophy or meal. I think it earned it's right to get it quick rather than gasp for untold minutes and pictures. Sh*tty fish handling, I don't care how much swimming he did to get it.
