Default Worst fishing gift ever?

Being fishermen, we attract all sorts of novelty/"useful" gifts from non-fisher folk in our lives. What's the worst you've gotten?

Mine is easy, it was from a supposedly loving girlfriend who turned out to be pure evil. She stole my John Lee Hooker vinyls when she left. Evil!
I should have known though. For my birthday she got me a novelty alarm clock from Bass Pro that sounded like a drag running out. I swear, I'd wake up bolt upright like I was in Apocolypse Now reaching for a non-existent rod. She set it at six am a couple of times, just for her own amusement. Evil I tell you.

Wow. That's awful.

Where can I reach her, and does she want to sell them?

LOL Funny thread! My mother in law always gets me some lame fishing gift. As I open it she has this smug look like shes really outdone herself this time. Just a couple to mention... A trout Christmas ornament. A utility knife with a trout graphic on it. A steel, fish shaped bottle openner... It goes on and on...

Well, next Christmas buy our mother in law a burial plot with the best location at the local cemetery. On the following Christmas don't buy her anything and when she asked why you didn't giver her a gift this Christmas, tell her because she didn't use the gift you got her last year.

One year my kids bought me about fifty red and white plastic bobbers from 1" up to 3". I may still have them around here somewhere.

Thought so...Click the image to open in full size.

I received one of those knot tying tool things that is kinda like a pen. It was pretty useless I think, I never used it.

Never had a girlfriend give me fishing related things but lost a lot of albums too............

Sometimes the worst gift can turn around and bite you in the a--! When I was a kid my mom got me some SW jigs for Christmas . One was so ugly I deemed it unfishable but of course I told her it was great and buried in the bottom of my surf bag! The yellow bucktail on it was tied like a parachute and it had wings made of tin foil! The head was white and looked like a Gargoyle with a metal clasp to hold the bucktail in place!
The following year I was at Boca Grande fishing the backwater surf for Snook. The Snook were busting bait in broad daylight all over this sandbar and looked like easy pickings! Not so !! I threw every jig and plug I thought would work and not a touch( didnt have my fly gear so no help there) ! Well biting my lip I dug the tin foil monster out ( it's nickname) and gave it a heave. That jig hardly touched and I was in ! In over my head as this was the biggest Snook I have ever caught or probably ever will!
I apologized to my mom and she looked at me like I was crazy!
