I was just curious, This is the first year I flyfished in Jan-Feb. I locked all spinning rods up they wont get used this year at all. Total FLyfishing year for me, So I am trying to learn as much as possible. I have my goal set at a 6+ pound trout.
I like hearing the fact the you are going HEAD ON with this. My sister inlaw has bee3n ff ing with me and does okay, but if I am catching fish and she isn't she will switch back to her spinning. You got to stay with it cause you can't get ff ing down in one day like spinning.
I take people just starting up to the Uinta's or similar water that I know they will catch something so I can spend more time helping them with their cast, but they also stay interested and get to feel the fight.

But there is always the time of no fish to humble us out and put everything back into place. Make us try harder.

If we caught all we wanted every time we went out, it would lose some of it's thrill. That's why it's called "Fishing" not "Catching".
