You mean you don't enjoy the three ring circus of trying to control the trolling motor with your knees, avoid snagging the spinning rods in the rod holders and the poling platform as well as that whiner in the back of the boat who needs to man up about the odd stray #2 clouser, all the while avoiding stepping on your fly line and managing to keep the boat out of the mangroves (and this before you actually, God help you) hook a fish? What's wrong with you?

I leave a back up in the vehicle as well; too much stuff to handle while wading and I had a bad experience this summer leaving my folding Frabill salmon net on the bank; stolen while I was fishing 50yds away!

The folks that are wading a stream with an extra rod stuck down the back of their waders are the same ones whose shoulders are hunched over from the weight of their overstuffed vests

I have at least 5 rods in my truck right now.

Amen.

One rod at a time. I have enough trouble managing it.

Depending upon where I'll be fishing two rods is the minimum. A couple places I fish I'll three different 2hander set ups and a 10 foot Sage 7wt XP. With this much 'gear' you can just bet my Jeep is never out of eye sight.

I carry 6 rods whenever I fish, all Winston's,but only one when I fish. The other alternative is I have a hardy demon reel that has 3 glass reinforced spools with different lines on them.1 reel ,interchangeable spools.

But the part I don't like most is when your buddy stuffs the bow into a huge wave on the way back in at night in the winter, and it misses the entire deck - hitting you just below the nipples and nearly knocking you out of the skiff, but worse, completely ruining all your smokes and you got another 8 miles to the dock.

Just got back in from putting the rub rail back on. Jorge showed up with his golf cart to stretch it back so's it would fit. Slooowly getting it back together.

yep, me too...I enjoy taking turns on a piece of water. I think you learn more watching and having someone else watch you...and you always have someone to man the net

See, the soaked smokes thing is your fault for being a yankee. If you were a native it would be a tin of dip, and that will take a soaking and still give you the nicotine fix. Now, if the beer and peanut butter crackers went overboard, it would be cause for mutiny.

Actually, I am a native. I was only a part-time yankee. That stuff is even nastier than cigarettes, which I have quit numerous times.
