water for farmers and not for fish...Wickiup Dam has mandated levels and flows in support of agriculture. With the west in drought, there's not enough h2o to both maintain flows and regain the minimum pool in the reservoir. The flows have been cut to fill the reservoir. My understanding is that it's a legally mandated situation, outside the control of fishery folk. ugly

I know there's a lot of concern, but fear people found out too late to try and execute any sort of rescue...there's a pretty full explanation on one of the PNW boards.
