Thanks everyone. This has been fun and I hope we can continue it for some time to come.

Sasha, man would I love to get in on that action. Just need the ankle to heal a bit more before I dare get out wade fishing. Keep me posted though.

I don't think there's a standard answer.

I liked the list BigFly posted, but also believe it's a personal thing, and the gear you're using at that time.

A couple of weeks ago I caught an 18" Brown in a pond full of 6-10" trout. I value that memory (and not just because it's more recent) than when I caught a 21 lb salamon on Lake Ontario a few years ago.
