Default cast or leader formula??

So 90%of my fishing is with big streamers, 6-8wts, and sink tip lines. However I recently picked up a rio streamer tip line for my 4wt its a short 15ft. Sink tip and I took it out yesterday...paired with my 9' 4wt Mystic reaper, which is a fast rod. I made my usual leader for streamers.....15" of 20#flouro followed by 15" of 0x flouro. I caught fish on everything from zzo cougars down to size 8 buggers but the 0x was constantly getting knots!! Any advice or tips?? Never have this issue on my bigger setups.....
