Default Well, you guys sold me

I ordered a pair of Korkers 'Buckskins' tonite with the kling-0n and the kling-0n studded soles. They list as a good bit lighter than my Orvis Clearwaters..so maybe now I'll expend more energy fishing instead of dreading walking. Clearwater wading boots are well built,,but they are very very heavy. Frustratingly heavy actually.

Bought a pair of the buckskins the other day at feathercraft. Hope to use them this weekend. Mine I got the Kling on soles and felt.

I've got the Orvis River Guard Ultralite, and really liked them. I wear them for gardening, hiking and even for occasional shore bait fishing.

Love these 'how light' a boot you can find. Being an 'old codger' I need all the weight I can get to keep my feet planted. Tip of a heavy duty wading staff is the first thing that goes into the water.

Guys, the Clearwaters are good boots. Just heavy. But I'll give them this,,,they may be better in fast current than the Korkers...with their weight they are very stable in faster current. I'm not about to toss them aside.

I'm going to resurrect this thread. I was just wondering how your thoughts on the Korkers are after putting some time in them.

I'm trying to make up my mind between some Korkers Buckskins and Simms Freestones. The Korkers look nice, but I really don't know a lot about them.
