Question Fly EYE

Just wondering what options you guys use when putting eyes (sticker types) on your flies. Reason I ask is I've tried the sticker on only to lose them on casting, in the water, or by a fish. So far the ideas I've tried didnt work the best.

Have you tried applying them, then coating over the top with epoxy?

I like the craft eyes that can be superglued on. Google eyed bugs work really good.

Ya I was thinking that is what I need to do. I've tryed a few glues but that onyl messes with the adhesive and they fall off. So looks like I need to head and get some epoxy

Try applying them with just a very small drop of epoxy, let them sit and cure. Then later on put 2-3 lite coats of epoxy if you want a hard finish, or a single coat of Softex if you want a softer finish.

Don't forget to use a fly turner for a more uniform finish
