Yep, that's Walter class!
I heard it was a bird's nest that did the job.
If my speculation is correct about not catching the biggest fish in the river (anomalous),
can you imagine how big that one is? 34-35"!???
Wish a client had hooked it.
Thanks for posting it Pac, I needed some motivation this morning.
This is why we fish here. The next drift could be the one..

My brother as my witness I hooked a brown not far off from that guy in the LT last year. Who would've thought I would need something heavier than 5x on the LT, SNAP! There are some BIG fish around here for sure. If not the trout the carp get rather huge themselves.

Holy ****!!!!!!! The biggest trout I have ever seen in real life, let alone hooked was about half that size!!!! Congrats!!!

What a beautiful fish. I was fishing the Truckee last month and it was too much river for my 4 wt so I headed to a couple of smaller streams and pounded on some rainbows. Next time I'm in CA I'm going to bring the 5 wt. for sure. Hell, a 6 wt. would be ideal dragging streamers and nymphs with an indie - but I don't own one. Perhaps I need another rod
