Default Fly fishing in Switzerland

I'll be heading to Switzerland, to photograph a wedding next week. Just curious...are there fly fishing opportunities there???

I can't answer your question directly as, even though I've been there a couple times, fishing opportunities never came up.
I can tell you that the Swiss passed a law a year or two ago that catch and release is against the law!

Wasn't it Switzerland where that guy was recently prosecuted for cruelty to animals for taking too long to land a fish?

I fished the Thur near Unterwasser 30 years ago,it was a great trout river but unfortunayely I think things have changed a lot If you read french have a look here:

Bob,

Sounds like your international photo renown may to provide you with an interesting fishing opportunity.

J-P fished Austria just a few weeks ago, so he'll likely have the best information and the links that he provided should give you the information that you need.

I'd plan on going for it. Do some research online, see if you can find a local guide, etc. You can probably find a way to have a good time fishing there; even with the apparent somewhat acentric regulations.
